Reader contributions are how venue directories stay accurate. A contributor can visit a pay-lake once every eighteen months; readers fish these venues every week. If you have noticed a pricing change, a closure, a new owner, or a facility update at a venue listed on this site, we want to hear about it.

What We Accept

We can update a venue listing when we have a specific, dateable piece of information. The most useful submissions are:

Pricing changes — If the day-rate, rod-hire fee, or session structure has changed since our listing was published, a submission with the new price and the date you observed it allows us to update the listing and flag it as reader-confirmed with a date.

Closures and reopenings — If a venue has permanently or temporarily closed, or if a previously closed venue has reopened under new or existing management, let us know. Include the date you observed this and the source of the information (your own visit, the venue's Facebook page, etc.).

Ownership or management changes — A change of owner or head of operations often means a change in stocking policy, pricing structure, or facilities. If you know of a management change, even a partial one, that context is useful.

New species stocked — If a venue has added a species to its lake that was not previously listed, particularly a notable target species like arapaima, Siamese carp, or giant snakehead, that is worth updating.

Accessibility and facility updates — New platforms, improved toilet facilities, a new restaurant or food stall, road improvements, or significant deterioration in any of the above.

What We Do Not Accept

Complaints — If you had a bad experience at a venue, the appropriate channel is the venue's own customer service, Google Maps reviews, or relevant Facebook fishing groups. We do not mediate disputes between anglers and operators.

Promotional content — We do not accept venue-authored submissions designed to improve a listing's tone. Operators who wish to correct factual inaccuracies in their listing should follow the same process as any reader; changes are made at editorial discretion.

Sponsored placements — ThaiAngler does not offer paid placement in directories or reviews. Submissions that appear to be promotional are discarded.

How to Submit

Email hello@thaiangler.com with the subject line "Venue Update: [Venue Name]". Replace [Venue Name] with the name of the venue as it appears on the site.

We review submissions on a rolling basis. Updates that are straightforward to verify — pricing, closure status — are typically processed within two weeks. Changes that require cross-referencing additional sources take longer.

We do not guarantee that every submission will result in a listing change. We apply the same editorial judgement to reader submissions as to any other source: if we cannot cross-reference a claim, we may hold it until we can.
