Privacy Policy

ThaiAngler's privacy policy. We collect minimal data and don't sell anything.

ThaiAngler Editorial · 27 April 2026 · 2 min read

This privacy policy explains what data ThaiAngler collects when you visit thaiangler.com, what we do with it, and what your rights are. We try to keep this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@thaiangler.com.

What we collect

ThaiAngler is a static editorial site. We do not require accounts, do not run user-generated comments, and do not collect personal information except in the limited ways below.

  • Server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp). These logs are used to diagnose technical issues and to identify abuse. They are retained for a short period and not shared with third parties.
  • Email correspondence. If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply. If you ask us to add you to publishing updates, we keep your email address on a private list and use it only for that purpose. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
  • Privacy-respecting analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics tool to understand which articles are read. This does not track you across sites and does not store personal identifiers. If we add such a tool, we update this policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not run third-party advertising networks that track you.
  • We do not set marketing cookies.
  • We do not share your data with marketers, brokers, or "data partners."

Some outbound links may eventually be affiliate links — meaning we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase. The destination retailer may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We have no control over those cookies.

External services

The site is hosted on Netlify, with images served from images.unsplash.com. Both of those providers may collect basic technical information per their own privacy policies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; we mitigate fingerprinting where reasonable.

Children

The site is intended for an adult, general-interest audience interested in recreational fishing. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

You can:

  • Ask us what data we have about you (in practice: an email address, if you've written to us).
  • Ask us to delete it.
  • Ask us to correct it.

Email hello@thaiangler.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and we'll respond within a reasonable period.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle data, we'll update this page and revise the Last updated date below.
